select the desired colors

Before opening the plugin filter we need to select a few regions in the image that do not contain any of the undesired stain colors that we are about to remove.

Use the rectangular or the freehand mask tool to select one or more areas that only contain desired colors that you want to be present in the final rendering of the image.
